FAMilies Festival 2009
A Celebration of Multiculturalism in Foster Care and Adoption On April 25 (rain date April 26), 2009, FAM and Quassy Amusement Park are proud to co-sponsor this first annual fair offering music, dance, food and hair care demonstrations from different ethnic and cultural traditions. Please check back soon for more details. Art Contest: Children residing in foster care in northwestern CT and children adopted through foster care and residing in northwestern CT are encouraged to submit original artwork representing the FAMilies theme. A committee comprised of FAM members and foster/adoptive parents will choose the winner of the contest whose artwork will be prominently featured on all posters and advertising for the festival. Prizes will be awarded to the top three submissions. All submissions will be displayed at Quassy Amusement Park during the festival.
